iOS and iPadOS
To set up your College email account on your iOS or iPadOS device:
- Select Settings.
- Select Passwords & Accounts.
- Select Add Account.
- Select Microsoft Exchange.
- In the Email box, enter your email address.
- In the Description box, enter Hibernia College Email.
- Select Sign In.
- When prompted, in the Password field, enter your college Office 365 password (it may take a few moments for the login dialogue to display while your account is verified on your device).
- Select Accept.
- Ensure Mail, Calendars and Reminders are enabled. Deactivate Contacts and Notes syncing by selecting the toggle button. The related button will change from green to grey when deactivated.
- Select Save.
- Return to the home screen.
To access your College email:
- Select the Mail icon.
- In the list of mailboxes (if you have multiple email accounts set up on your device), select Hibernia College Email.
- Select Inbox.
Note: By default, your device might open the last email account you accessed. To switch between accounts (if you have multiple email accounts set up on your device), select the back button at the top left to display the mailbox selection menu. The back button changes depending on your current location. It will always have a left arrow. The arrow will be followed by the words Back or Mailboxes or the name of the mailbox you are currently viewing, for example, Outlook.
Android
To set up your College email account on your Android device:
- Select Apps.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll to and select Accounts.
- Select Add Account.
- Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. This option may be named Exchange Account on some versions of Android.
- Enter your email address.
- Select Password.
- Enter your College Office 365 password.
- Select SignIn.
- Wait while the phone verifies the account.
- Select OK.
- Select Activate.
- Return to the home screen.
Note: The steps for setting up a new email account on your Android device may vary depending on the version of Android installed on your device. You may be prompted for the following information during setup:
- Username: This is your College email address.
- Password: This is your College Office 365 password.
- Domain: Leave this blank.
- Exchange server: Enter outlook.office365.com
Some options will be pre-selected. If not prompted during setup, you can change any of these options in the settings after setup. To access these options:
- Select Apps.
- Select Settings.
- Select Accounts.
- Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
- Select your email address. Mail, Calendar and notifications should be enabled. You may deactivate notes and contacts.
To access your College email:
- Select Apps.
- Select Email.
