Exporting your digital portfolio
At the end of your programme, you can export your digital portfolio to showcase your work to others outside of the College. Exporting your portfolio provides you with an offline version of your portfolio files.
Your digital portfolio is exported in a web format (HTML) and a LEAP2A format at the same time.
The web format contains a standalone HTML version of your portfolio. It is readable in a standard web browser and you do not need Mahara to view it. You will not be able to export this back to Mahara or any other digital portfolio system.
The LEAP2A file enables you to import your portfolio into another digital portfolio platform. You can then import this into another LEAP2A-compliant system.
After the export is generated, you will receive an email containing a link that allows you to download a ZIP file.
You can create an export at any time and as often as you want.
Export your digital portfolio
Select the Main menu icon

Select Manage > Export.
You can choose what you would like to export: all your data, some of your pages or some of your collections. To export your entire portfolio, accept the default All my data and select Generate export.
A message appears informing you that the files have been sent to the export queue:
Web format and LEAP2A formats are then created. Depending on the size of your portfolio, the export might take some time.
You will receive an email with a link to download the ZIP file of your portfolio. To begin to download the file, select the link.
After you have extracted the ZIP file, in the folder, you will see the HTML folder and LEAP2A file.
To open the HTML version of your digital portfolio in a browser, in the HTML folder, you select the index file.
To import your digital portfolio into a LEAP2A-compliant platform, you select the leap2a file.
